<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper discusses the benefits of Turkey’s cooperation with SCO countries. Turkey’s economic indices reveal the shift of trade volumes from Europe to Asia, the country is interested in free trade zones in the region and support most initiatives brought forward by China. Being the member of NATO Turkey seeks nevertheless fundamental security co-operation with adjacent states. Especially important for Turkey are relations with Afghanistan.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Турция</kwd><kwd>внешняя политика</kwd><kwd>ШОС</kwd><kwd>экономическое развитие</kwd><kwd>Татарстан</kwd><kwd>зоны свободной торговли</kwd><kwd>региональная безопасность</kwd><kwd>Афганистан</kwd><kwd>НАТО</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Turkey</kwd><kwd>foreign policy</kwd><kwd>SCO</kwd><kwd>economic development</kwd><kwd>Tatarstan</kwd><kwd>free trade zones</kwd><kwd>regional security</kwd><kwd>Afghanistan</kwd><kwd>NATO</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title></ref-list><fn-group><fn fn-type="conflict"><p>The authors declare that there are no conflicts of interest present.</p></fn></fn-group></back></article>
